It works pretty well! The image ends up being a bit small for me, though.
Scratch my earlier comment, I tried the second tip (editing the plist) and it worked much better!

This plugin does not work under Snow Leopard 10.6.6 and using Illustrator CS5
It worked fine under Leopard 10.5.8
